South Meadows is Pitt Meadows’ newest residential quarter, developed largely from the early 2000s through the 2010s in the area south of the Lougheed Highway corridor and near the Golden Ears Bridge connector. The neighbourhood draws commuters who need access to Langley, Surrey, and the broader Lower Mainland without the premium prices of those markets — the Golden Ears Bridge has made South Meadows a practical daily commute destination that was not viable before the bridge opened in 2009.
Housing stock in South Meadows skews newer and more uniform than Central or North Pitt Meadows: townhome complexes, paired homes, and newer single-family detached properties built to post-2000 BC Building Code standards dominate the streetscape.
